POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE ILEANA DISCUSSION NUMBER 24
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL EP092012
 800 AM PDT SUN SEP 02 2012

ILEANA HAS LACKED SIGNIFICANT DEEP CONVECTION FOR ABOUT 10 HOURS.
SINCE THE CYCLONE IS OVER VERY COOL WATERS...REGENERATION OF
SIGNIFICANT DEEP CONVECTION SEEMS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. THEREFORE...
ILEANA NO LONGER MEETS THE DEFINITION OF A TROPICAL CYCLONE...
AND THIS IS THE LAST ADVISORY ISSUED ON THIS SYSTEM BY THE
 NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER.

THE REMNANT LOW IS MOVING WESTWARD AT ABOUT 10 KT. A TURN TO THE
WEST-SOUTHWEST IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS AS THE SHALLOW
SYSTEM IS STEERED BY THE LOW-LEVEL TRADE WINDS. DISSIPATION IS
FORECAST TO OCCUR IN 3 TO 4 DAYS...THOUGH SOME OF THE GLOBAL MODELS
 SHOW THIS OCCURRING SOONER.

FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE REMNANT LOW PLEASE SEE HIGH
SEAS FORECASTS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE...UNDER
AWIPS HEADER NFDHSFEPI AND WMO HEADER FZPN01 KWBC.
