...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

Weather conditions have improved over the highest elevations of
Maui and the Big Island, therefore the National Weather Service 
in Honolulu has cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory. 

The National Park Service reported that the road leading to the 
summit of Haleakala remains CLOSED to the public due to ice and 
snow keeping conditions dangerous for vehicular traffic. The 
National Park Service is hopeful that they will be able to open 
the road to the public later this weekend. 

The Maunakea Rangers have conducted a check of the summit roadways
and deemed them safe for vehicular traffic. The road to the 
summit of Maunakea is now OPEN to the public.
