...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THE HALEAKALA SUMMIT...

.A band of enhanced moisture over Maui will exit eastward and 
away from the area this morning, as a powerful winter storm lifts 
northeastward and away from the island chain. The lingering band
of moisture will produce some additional snow over the Haleakala 
summit this morning before ending. Windy conditions will also 
result in blowing and drifting snow.

the National Weather Service in Honolulu has cancelled the Winter

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON HST TODAY...

* WHAT...Occasional snow showers and freezing fog will continue
  into the morning hours before ending. Plan on slippery road
  conditions along with blowing and drifting snow. Additional snow
  accumulation of less than 1 inch is expected.

* WHERE...Haleakala Summit above 8000 feet.

* WHEN...Through Noon today.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities below
  a quarter mile at times, windy conditions, along with blowing 
  and drifting snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling, especially in open areas.
