...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BIG ISLAND SUMMITS...

.Recent observations from the summit of Mauna Kea indicate that
deep moisture and below-freezing temperatures are bringing
freezing fog and freezing rain, leading to icy conditions. 
Warming temperatures are expected after sunrise this morning, 
where the threat of icing will diminish.

* WHAT...Freezing rain and freezing fog occurring. Additional
  light accumulations of ice this morning. 

* WHERE...Big Island Summits above 12000 feet.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM this morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant reductions to visibility can be
  expected in cloud and fog. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain means that periods of
freezing rain will cause dangerously slippery roads and travel 
difficulties. The road to the summit of Mauna Kea is closed due to
the dangerous road conditions.
