...Winter Weather Advisory for Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa...

.Fog and drizzle are covering the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna
Loa. When temperatures drop below freezing around sunset, freezing
fog and drizzle are expected. These conditions will continue
through mid-morning on Tuesday when temperatures are expected to
rise above freezing.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM HST TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for freezing fog and freezing drizzle, which is 
in effect until 10 AM HST Tuesday. 

* LOCATION...The summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea above 12000
  Feet of elevation.

* HAZARD TYPE...Freezing fog and freezing drizzle.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Up to one quarter inch of ice.

* TIMING...From 600 PM this evening through 1000 AM Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Ice on roads and walkways will make driving and
  walking difficult. Road closures are possible.

* WINDS...Northeast around 10 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...Less than a mile.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid travel to the summits until conditions improve. Road
closures will be possible. If you must travel to the area, use
extreme caution when driving or walking due to slippery roads and
limited visibilities.
