.Strong and gusty winds will continue through this afternoon. The
strongest winds will likely occur in areas over and downwind of 
island mountains.

  difficult. The winds can forcefully open doors and damage 
  hinges or slam doors shut, possibly causing injuries.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Consider postponing travel to Haleakala Summit until conditions 
improve. Watch out for falling tree branches when walking or 
driving. Make sure tents and awnings are secure or take them down.
